Fine early example from this enterprising maker, probably dating from the 1830's. Roskill was well known for producing watches and machinery as well as chronometers, with an extensive trade to the Americas. This instrument is in entirely original condition with Earnshaw pattern spring detent escapement, fully spotted movement and nice burr walnut brass bound box with original key.
